American Legal History (21063). 3 units. This course will examine the foundations of the American legal, political, and economic order from the colonial period through the early twentieth century. We will analyze the emergence of American property law, slavery, women’s legal history, intellectual property, and corporate law as well as federalism, the Constitution, and judicial review.
