    Legislation: Statutory Interpretation (20066). 2 units. This course will provide a short introduction to the theory and doctrine of statutory interpretation. (The course is normally offered for 3 units.) The course will begin with a case study of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and will swiftly turn to theories and doctrines of statutory interpretation. Students will test the theories of statutory interpretation against theories of law and the legislative process.
