An advanced constitutional law course, open only to students who have already taken an introductory course in American Constitutional Law at Yale or elsewhere. This course will revolve around the text of the United States Constitution and four books authored by the instructors: P. Bobbitt, Constitutional Fate (1982); A. Amar, America's Constitution: A Biography (2005); P. Bobbitt, Constitutional Interpretation (1991); and A. Amar, America's Unwritten Constitution (2012). Self-scheduled examination or paper option.
