International Commercial Arbitration (21283). 2 units. International commercial arbitration has increased as a function of world trade. This seminar will examine systematically and comparatively, through statutes, rules, national and international cases, and treaties, the establishment, operation, and implementation of awards of international arbitration tribunals; the role of national courts in compelling, facilitating, and enforcing or vacating arbitral awards; and policies currently under consideration for changing arbitral practices.
